For years I’ve planned & preped to hunt Elk. I’ve run the gamut from 8 RM ——> 270 for Elk
I’ve decided *for me* the 7 RM is nearly the perfect all round b g rifle because of its trajectory.

I don’t discredit the 06, it’s just not as flat shooting.

OTOH for *my* WT hunting a 25-06 or 270 would have done ALL I have needed to do.
and I could have done it all with an 06.

There are no flies on the old Patriot.
