In seriousness though with the mono bullets on the market now is there a reason/purpose for a very heavy loaded 30-06? I know the Partition does a lot of damage through fragmentation/shedding a good chunk of its lead core after impact, but it seems like a 165gr Barnes would be even heavier and with about the same surface area as a heavy 30-06 load.

I mean other than "I like them" which is just fine. But it seems any medium bore cartridge can do the same thing now (if it couldn't before)
