Been shooting this one exclusively for awhile now. Nothing special; just a standard M70 .30-06 with a 4x Lyman. It's been in here many times before, but it's a favorite go-to companion that groups well with cheapo ammo (180 grain Winchester Power Points). It's killed deer, coyotes and lots of TX pigs without an issue. It looks pretty good, too.

VAHillbilly, I'm looking at about the same performance here, or a 130gr TTSX for 2900 fps, starting load basically, or dropped 2 grains and loaded in 7.62x51mm LC brass. Like you said, easy on the shoulder, easy on the brass, easy on my Garand.
And the cupped metal buttplate on a Kar 98k is a real shoulder tenderizer haha.
