Bad behavior is not excused by other bad behavior.
Slavery was brutal and disgusting BUT there are members of this forum who wish it was still allowed…
As long as people are doing the whole it was bad BUT, might as well make it accurate.
Coincidentally, the last slaveholding Americans were Alaska Natives, they were quite pissed when the US bought AK from Russia and enforced the 13th Amendment. In fact, one of the many complaints to this day of the Tlingit people is that the US stole "property" from them without due compensation.
