Extra military/police presence is needed because scenes from January 6th did tremendous damage to the United States. One wonders how can someone lead the free world if they can not get their own house together. Those scenes involving halloween clad people can never be repeated.
That logic only works when you don't allow nightly assaults on a federal building elsewhere. Assaults that were nightly, occurred over several months, and were much, much more violent and destructive
It only bothers the commies because they learned that a sword cuts both ways.
Like babies, they are throwing a temper tantrum because they can't have everything 100% their way 100% of the time.
