If they are not already administering it, tell them you want Ivermection.
Ivermectin is good on the front end of covid. He most likely doesn't have covid anymore. He's dealing with bacterial pneumonia now.
I would still take it. Tests have shown that Ivermection works no matter stage you are in. My wife and I were both told to continue taking it, so we did. The hospital we use here will prescribe it to you even after they send you home.
