Reloader 26 was great for 150s. 61 grains gave 3000 fps with acceptable accuracy but not stellar accuracy. H4831SC was more accurate than RL26 as well with the 150 partition although velocity was closer to 2800 with what I considered to be a near max load.

IMO H4831SC is hard to beat in the 270 for 130 to 150 grain bullets. I would be curious to try RL23 at some point if this ammo components shortage ever gets sorted out

I agree with you for the most part, I have tried many powders over the years in several 270's and H4831SC has always been the accuracy king in every one of them..............I fell in love with RL26 because I can honestly get 200fps more velocity out of the 140-150gr bullets I have tried.....but not with quite the same accuracy.
The original H4831 that was around before the short cut version and the "EXTREME"era I think even worked better.

The 200 fps increase is mighty hard to ignore. I never tried RL26 with 140s, thanks for the heads up

Good bullets properly placed always work, but not everyone knows what good bullets are, or can reliably place them in the field
