The expense of diesel maintenance and parts [if you keep it long term] offsets the fuel economy .
Even when I dragged heavy boat/tractor around I couldn't justify a diesel , plus hated the noise .
Fully understood on the added expense with a diesel.
Regarding the noise on the 3.0, very quiet for a diesel, surprisingly quiet.
