I married up. After 26 years, I can highly recommend it. I can also say being a good spouse goes a long way toward having a good spouse.

In all likely hood, the reason he's still married is that on a scale of 1-10, he's at least 2 points better than his wife and she knows it. If for one minute she thought she could trade up she'd leave him.
