As far as destroying the barrel by reaming out to a 223....
Take the barrel off, and sell it and buy a new 223 barrel...
or turn your 223 brass into 222 Brass...
I don't know why anyone would tear apart a 222 Sako..... even if you got it for a cheap price....
That is a mega classic rifle.
Ya want a 223, I'll swap ya a never been fired Remington 700 in 223, for the Sako....
