No.

Clock doesn't start til the ball's touched by opp team player.

So, a squib could be fallen on by a player at the 35 or 40, and take no time off the clock.

They'd be worse off.
......................Disagree! Ya do a harder and longer squib kick. Squib kicks are harder to field and who knows maybe Buffalo might have recovered the ball after a KC player touched it and could not secure the ball... No worse off then taking the game into OT which led to Buffalo's loss. I'd rather give Mahommes the 10 to 13 seconds running 2 plays max than sending the game into OT.....They were certainly worse off by sending the game into OT...Squib kick would have been the lesser of the two poisons.

If squibs worked better than regular kickoffs, they'd all be doin it.

But nobody does, for some reason.

And the reason is, that field position is gonna be better for the receiving team, after a squib.
..............................Ok fine! But are you not forgetting that there were only 13 seconds remaining on the game clock? Yeah the field position may have been better for KC with a squib kick, but KC would have been under far more pressure to gain yardage and then score with only two plays max to do so....By going into OT Buffalo gave Mahommes more opportunities and LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!
