Have any Air Assualt ops or Airborne drops of ground troops gone on to seize terrian to secure and hold for passage of mech inf and armour forces to follow???

Ren, I saw a short vid clip posted on another site of around 15 +- MI8? choppers headed somewhere. In the vid they were flying over an unidentified city. I'm assuming they were planning on taking a bridge or airport with that many choppers.
Supposedly Russian Airborne had taken control of the Hostomel airport in Kyiv and then lost it.
