I would buy the closest thing to what I’m driving now which is a ‘17 Tundra TRD PRO that just went over 100,000 miles. As it is, it’s about perfect for me. My truck is the family car, my wife’s BMW seldom gets more than 20 miles from home. I can pull my boat, haul dirty stuff around, it does very well off road for hunting and surf fishing and cruises easily and comfortably at 80 or more on the highway. Also, they have been trouble free. I like to buy my vehicles new, then I don’t have to worry about whatever kind of dipschitt treatment they’ve had or why someone felt compelled to get rid of a perfectly good truck at 20,000 miles or so.
