Yes that alpine lake was Merriam. I went into that and Pass Lake on that trip with my dad and oldest kiddo.
I was pretty sure but it has been a few years since I was there. It seems that every time I have been at Mirriam lake it was windy and cold, even in the summer. That whole trip is a great part of Idaho that very few people are aware of (and I am glad) I can't ever recall ever seeing anyone else in there.
