for son and my deer rifles both are 257 Weatherby mags. and same rifles Ruger #1 i try to load 40-50 cartridges and try to keep a 100 cartridges loaded on inventory. now for the rest of the family wife and daughter both have a 257 Roberts i loaded 15 boxes of 20 rds., also have 10 year old grandson who now has a 257 Roberts Ruger #1 , granddaughter in the future will also have a Ruger #1 in a 257 Roberts. its much easier if all have the same cartridges for me and them. for a trip out west i also bring 2 boxes of 20 for the hunt on big game, prarie dogs boy the sky could be the limit ? maybe 1,000 total rds. ? when i hunt deer in my home state of Minnesota my gun boot has 6 cartridges thats all i take to the stand my rifle is a single shot ,never need more than one or two catridges all season long. every year i try to now load 100 257 Roberts cartridges for the family also.
