The ELD-X is a high bc bullet meant for long range yet expansion when it arrives. There are no guarantees, not of success, not of failure, but comparatively short range with high retained velocity aren't the ELD-X's strong suit. I'd prefer a tougher bullet or I'd load them down a bit.
My vote is for a 120 grain partition, Nosler e-tip, or Barnes X design.
