Pre-interlock? Must be some oldies. The 100gr Hornady IL shoots well in my 257R at a little over 3000fps. Do you generally shoot shoulders or heart/lungs. Where I hunt the deer are almost always just a step or two from thick thorny brush so I usually take high shoulder shots and have been wondering if the 100gr IL is up to the task. Thanks
It will work.

Maybe a little rough on shoulders but I don't fret over 2 pounds of meat.

Far enough forward and up and you really don't ruin much.

The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!
