I really liked how the old discontinued Hornady 120 Hollow Point worked in a 257 Ackley. SE Texas deer/crows.
I used the 115 Nosler Partition in a 257 Weatherby (24") on Blackbuck and Black Hawaiians.
Also used the 100TSx in a 26" barrel 257 Wby for another Black Hawaiian.
I used the Sierra 117 SBT on Mule Deer here in Utah from a 25-06 Classic.
Of them all...I much preferred the Nosler 115 Partition. But finding any today....???

I recently got another 25-06 that came with ( just threw them in the deal) 6 boxes of new 120 Remington CL factory ammo ($44/box!) AND an older VXII 3x9! ha Bought for the proverbial song too! So for handloads later, I am going to start out with some 97gr Power Hammers ( for a coyote/deer/antelope bullets) see what we get!

I knew several guys back in Texas who started out with the Hornady 87gr sp, for decades. Some went to others just tot ry. None complained about that 87gr though.
Good luck to you pard! Have a ball!
