Because the .356 is deader than disco, and while I’ve read that they may feed .358 brass, I’d much rather just buy ready-to-use Starline. Factory ammo is extremely rare and expensive.

The .375 & .38/55 are legal in many of the straight-wall states. If I do this, I’ll check the regs for places I might want to visit and decide based on that.

The .30/30 is coming here in a trade regardless, and so the only added expense will be the re-bore.
