It arrived from FL yesterday. It’s clearly “been hunted”. Stock needs re-finished, metalwork is pretty good for a 43 year-old. Mechanically it’s very good and clean inside. Doubt it’s fired 100 rounds. Some doofus drilled the bullseye for the swivel stud and the barrel-band sling stud is way out at the end. Not a purist so I’ll make it how I want it after I shoot it some. Has a Cabelas 3-9 that’s gonna go. Weighs 10oz more than my M70 EW with its Trijicon 3-9, 8lbs 6oz. Not sure where I go with sighting just yet.
Bought some ammo online and my cousin is bringing more later.
Anyone that needs .30/30 ammo for this season better get crackin’. Not much out there, whether due to early shopping or low supply, I can’t say.
