Have you ever hunted with a suppressor? I'm not sure you have. But the advantage is clear. They will certainly hear the gunshot, but they won't be able to tell where it was FROM. This works great if you miss or if there are doubles. I've had game come TO ME after shooting their buddy with a suppressed rifle.
