I wouldn't trade my time in the corps for anything.
As for recommending it, I guess it depends where you're at in life. I didn't have money for college, was poor, and needed a swift kick in the azz. The Marines gave me the college money and the kick in the azz I needed.
If you don't need the money or the kick in the azz, I'd lean towards no.
