Years ago my brother got a new Marlin 22 semi auto rifle and a 500 round box of the cheap Remington 22's. He kept telling me the ammo was no good, as it wouldn't fire in his rifle. He gave it to me, and I shot up the rest of the box, probably 400 rounds or more, without a single shell failing to fire. I was using a Remington 511 rifle. I think he sent that Marlin on down the road.
