For inside 200 yards, which is 99% of what I do, I moved up from the .358 Win. in a Savage 99 to a 16" re-barreled Savage 99 in 450 Bushmaster. Also have 2 commercial Mauser 98s a 16" and 18" barrel in 450 Bushmaster. I have not had a deer or hog run since switching to the 450 bm, but if they did there would be one hell of a blood trail. I couldn't be happier with the 450 Bushmaster.
