Did you go along? That was a very rare and special thing the guys did for the young man. There were actually 6 heavies in that formation.
That was a 6 bird sortie almost never successfully achieved with a MITO takeoff.
Very Cold War type of thing.
If you look up KC 135 minimum interval takeoff you guys can see what it looks like.
That 6 bird roll is pretty much reserved for a nuclear ops protocall. Usually reserved for a nuclear Holocaust contingent.

There are some videos of B52 MITO out there as well, very impressive.
The guys on base heard about the young man coming and pushed for this. My son was in charge of the flight line birds and they pushed overtime to get the 5th and 6th 135’s ready and involved. The guys are proud of that young man and All are hoping the best for him.
