I have and hunt with a Savage 99 in .303 Savage. It's classic, retro, and yes, obsolete. I dare you to find ammo for it in any commercial outlet. I ordered some Cabela's Obsolete (that's what they called it) ammo a few years ago, and it took me over a year to get it. was over $40.00 for a box of 20. Recently I saw some Norma brass in the Midway catalog, for over $1.00 per round! Empty brass! But it's cool, and it was my Dad's.
