Hoo boy! I regularly shoot a .22 Hornet, but not on deer. But it does the trick on 'yotes to at least 200yds.

But for deer, I've got the following that fit this category:
.250-3000 in a Ruger 77RL
6.5x55 in a '96 and a '38 Swede Mauser
Had a 7x57 but sold it (stupid, stupid, stupid)
.280 Rem in a tang safety Ruger 77
.270 in a CZ 550 American
.30-06 in a Sako Finnbear
.303 Brit in a No.4 Mk1 Enfield
.375 Ouch&Ouch in a Ruger #1
.416 Rigby in a Ruger #1 (also good for p-dogs)
.45-70 in a Ruger #1 (absolutely brutal with stiff loads)

And these are my usual favorites.

And I've been wanting a 9.3xSomething pretty bad for a while. May have to trade an STW for one.

Bring enough gun and know how to use it.
