I have to agree - I used to shoot ab 8 ounce trigger for silhouette and it was difficult to control off-hand. I have a Jewell on one of my bench rifles and have it set at 4 ounces and it is as low as I want to go,

I cannot imagine a 2-stage 1 ounce trigger and being able to feel a "bump" in the middle of the pull.

I guess all of these years of shooting must have built a callous on my finger.
