I have two 7 Mag and 30.06 both sre MOA shooters ( factory ammo, not reloads )with the green and black factory hogue overmold stocks, I like them so much I think I'll order one in .300 WSM. I think they look fantastic with the black trinyte finish in the olive drab green and black stock. To answer your question I would call it a Matte Trinyte finish.............HB
