I weighed the gun when it came in. It weighs 6 3/8 lbs NOT 7 3/8 lbs. I was kind of shocked. Do a search on other folks that own them too. I was really concerned it would be a bear for recoil but shooting 375 H&H rounds it's fine. Here's a link from another campfire member ...
