The Danner 'Sierra' has been my three season hunting boot since 1984. Not heavy nor lightweight - inbetween. Gortex and 200 grams Thinsulate. I buy them one-half size bigger than my 10 shoe size.
When they get a lot of mileage on them I send them into Danner to rebuild. Recycle them once then discard.
On the plains, in the mountains, Missouri breaks, Wisconsin hills the boots have served me well.
Some of you may recall, I believe it was last year a fire member, got hold of a Danner/Lacrosse employee discount code number. It was half price on all footwear and I ordered three pair of the Sierras...one each for my son and nephew and of course, for myself. The discount was meant only for employees but Danner honored it.
