How did the Speer 90 grain perform on game?

The Speer 90gr Hotcore was designed by Speer for use on deer sized game back when the 244 Remington came out with slow twisted 1-12" barrels.
Most would not stabilize a 100gr cup & core bullet like the 243 Win. would with its original 1-10" twist barrels, which limited the 244 Rem. to pretty much varmit type bullets of the day to hunt with, often with poor results.
The 1-12" barrels stabilize the 90gr H.C. fine and are actually a pretty tough bullet for a C&C.
I used to shoot them years ago before we had all the bullet choices we have today in my 244 Rem. and layed down alot of deer and hogs with them. Lots of the deer shots were complete pass thru shots on blacktail deer.
I think I've still got 4-5 hundred of them laying around.
