My doctor loves my Personal Writing. Only a very few very trusted friends have full sets, but my good friend and physician, Dr. Ruggeri, has all of my Personal Writings.
My doc limits herself to TWO PAGES daily, after seeing her patients ... TWO PAGES a day.
About a week ago, she e-mailed me, "I laugh, I cry and I love my two pages of Steve daily."
Lately, Dr. Ruggeri told me that "It would be wonderful if you would write about
BEING old."
BEING OLD. Not "getting older." Not "approaching old age." Not simply "aging."
BEING OLD. [bleep].
I'm 70 and I guess I AM old and that sucks in the extreme.
So, I've started a new Personal Writing piece entitled "[i]Being Old.[/i}
In truth, the new manuscript is coming along quite well. Hopefully, I will be able to finish it before I flippin' die
