I load a good many for the guys hunting out of our camp, and while I prefer the 35 whelen with the 250 speers for elk, personally Id have to admit Ive seen a great many mule deer and several elk have been taken with that load and most with a single hit!
don,t get hung up on velocity just get the most accurate load
