In your worldview it is apparently acceptable to ask strangers to publicly explain their actions. In fact, you demand that they do so. It appears, although I cannot be sure, that you also want them to admit that their actions are unacceptable, not only to you, but to the general public. It also appears, although again I cannot be sure, that you would like them to do some introspective self-exploration into the underlying reasons for their actions. Finally, whether I am correct or not about those last two things, you want them to change their behavior. Of that, I am sure.

Fine, let’s play by those rules. I’d like to ask you some questions.

What would be your perfect outcome in this specific situation?

Is there more than one outcome that you would like to see occur?

If this outcome (or outcomes) were to occur, how would it benefit you?

Would this perfect outcome give you personal satisfaction?

Would you also like to receive some acknowledgment from the other participants in this online discussion for causing this perfect outcome?

I could ask you a bunch of “why?” questions, but I won’t. If others want to explore those, then they can jump in.

I'm curious as to why Bushmaster1313 is so needy for attention from strangers. This has been a pattern from "him" for a few years. It's a basic question that he won't answer due to some psychosis. Sort of like your insecurity for becoming angry with me for asking.

This doesn't include the responses he's made to someone else's thread where he essentially bangs the drums again.
It doesn't count his repetition for his other guns over which he's harangued everyone; i.e., the Ruger No. 1 RSI, Savage 99G, Winchester 97, pre-64 Featherweights, etc.
This is a LONG DAMNED WAY FROM NORMAL to keep soliciting attention from strangers.

I'm not sure what you mean by "insecurity", or how such would lead to me becoming angry with you. I am angry at you only in that I have an aversion to bullies, and so far you appear to me to be one.
You are undoubtedly tenacious. Your documentation of Bushmaster1313's posts are proof of that.

I have never disputed your "evidence."

I specifically and intentionally have not asked you any "Why are you doing this?" questions (unless you count my rhetorical "Why?" when I used strike through and substitution in phrases you originated.)

I asked some straightforward questions about what outcome, or outcomes you seek, how such outcomes would benefit you, and what you hope to gain from those outcomes.

Simple questions that you have not addressed.

Bushmaster1313 is quite obviously not bullied by me, so your "argument" gets deflated.

Let Bushmaster1313 answer why he craves the adulation of strangers. Every few weeks we get "treated" to this nonsense of "I love my rifle," "Look at my rifle," "I like my rifle," "I'm glad I bought my rifle," "I like to shoot my rifle," and on and on and on. That's not normal behavior for any stable person.

I think that scope looks just perfect on that rifle. IMHO an excellent choice.

Nice setup 1313, me being traditionally retarded, I'd lose the lw talleys on that old rig, a nice sleek set of S&K's or Conetrols would do me just fine.

I love pre-64's to death, but agree with some (most?) here that there's no harm-no foul in using up to date mounts and scopes on them. One doesn't wreck the originality of the rifle after all, and if one mounts a scope then evidently one intends to use it, so why not? The best "period scopes" from two or three generations ago don't hold a candle to most current mediocre scopes.

I'm old enough that I consider all pre-64 M70's to have been born in the "modern" era. What I consider old is stuff made in the 20's and before.

Bush what was your thinking behind switching out the old Weaver K3 to the Leupold M8 3x ?

Do you have side by side picture so we can see exactly how the rifle compares in beauty with each scope.

Weaver is a K2.5 from 1949 and although bright and clear it exhibits significant parallax.

The Leupold M8-3X has a touch more power and a lot less parallax
