Poseur Larry quit using green tape in 1999, so easy to age his photos I know, I love it when she gets all horned up, forgets and posts pics of talleys and leupolds!! Haha
LarryO!!! Haha, I've noticed that. Only a confirmed dipschit films himself throwing a rifle 20 feet, then later proclaims the broken rings and scopes are junk.

Your reading comprehension is about as good as your hunting skills. Does any manufacturer produce a rifle scope that can compete with the Leupold VX-3HD 3.5-10X40 for light weight, and optical clarity at a similar or lower price? I don't need/want ballistics adjustable turrets for long range, etc. Just simple, reliable, set and forget and great hunting level optical quality. If you're a Leupold hater please skip this.
Thanks.
Frank Why even post this chidt when you know guys are going to suggest something other than Leupold?

Anyone looked through the Burris Fullfield E1 and FF2 to compare them? Any preference?
Thanks.

Z3's are smidge more but lightweight w good optics. Clean lines too if going on a classic styled rifle.

On the original topic of a good, simple 3-9x40, I also consider Burris FF2 the best bargain. I have had good luck with a new Leupold 3- 9x40 as well.
If you want even better optics and are willing to spend more, the Meopta 3-9 is a really nice scope.
I also have a Swarovski Z3 and it is probably the best in class as far as optics. I have not tried the Schmidt and Bender, but have their scopes in larger sizes and they are probably the finest hunting scopes made anywhere. Feel free to disagree with my opinions but I have all of these scopes and hunt and shoot with all of them.

I have had zero issues with the Meopta Meopro/Zeiss Conquest/Cabelas Instinct 3-9x40 scopes. They have excellent eye relief, a very useful duplex style reticle and are nearly as bright as much more expensive scopes. They are a tad heavier than the Leupold and Burris, but not enough to matter. Unless you dunk them in the river regularly or shoot tens of thousands of rounds of heavy kickers they should serve your needs.
Always remember that you are unique, just like everyone else.

Too bad the original Conquest and Meopro are discontinued. Big mistake on Meopta’s part in my opinion. GreggH
