My seventh grade home room teacher (1972 ish) was Mr. Davidson. He was one of many WWII vets who through the GI bill became teachers. We would stand for the national anthem when the announcement came over the intercom. One kid Jeff, decided he wasn’t going to stand and instead laid across a couple chairs. Mr. D came over and kicked his legs, told him in the war if a guy did that he would have shot him. No one saw a thing.

LOL! Competition could be intense.

I still remember where the paddle was proudly displayed in the Coaches/PE teachers office in JR HS. Don't think it was ever used in my time. Trophy of an earlier time and psychological threat by the late 70's.

Had to take the ol lady's car in for service, so went in the school to her classroom ( to fetch her keys ).

There she is, w some monster sized kid standing over her yelling threats.

I knocked on the door hard and she came and unlocked. Kid still standing. Went in and told him to shut up and sit down. He did, but mouthed off that I couldnt talk to him that way.

Reminded him I didnt work for the school and we could further discuss this in the parking lot.....any time.

My ol lady said he was never a problem in class again. Said he thought I was gonna kill him LOL

The schoola usually put disruptive kids in a special class.
Theyre almost always behind and have to salvage some minimal gpa.

Schools wont kick em out.

So somebody usually ends up w a room full of [bleep].

Another form of protected people.


My ol lady as well as a bunch of others, quit teaching.
Kids and their parents arent worth a damn any more and other teachers/ admins are liberal and or psycho.

Not safe.

If she's black and the kid is white - it won't make it to the news.

Not after me reading all that happened, what would you rather the teacher do?
