I did some magnet fishing for awhile. Didn't really go to many target rich areas like canals or bridges, tried a few fishing docks. I didn't have enough persistence to make it worth my while.

You gotta get the right balance of powerful magnet and rope.

Get too strong of a magnet and you won't get it back up if it snags something big.

Been running my 18 foot Jon boat with 90 hsp 2-stroke Yamaha 22 years now. The boat owes me nothing. Buddy in the business told me I could get what I paid for it if I wanted to sell it. (Of course 2024 vs 2002 dollars means half the value.) In any case I would never sell it.

Never had any interest in pontoon boats. To me, they’re not boats, they’re barges. I can see the attraction they hold for people who are not really into boats, but want to get out on the water.

You are correct, I mis-remembered. My 30-06 is stamped "Classic". I used to have a similar 300 WSM SS Classic that was not stamped as a Classic. I no longer own the 300 WSM but confused the 2 rifles.

I wouldn't buy a 22 mag except the Magnum Research semi-auto. Price be damned.

As many times I have been to Gettysburg, I still never visited that farm!
I know Ike felt about Gettysburg much like me.
After he moved there, he hosted Churchill, Monty, and General Zukov of the Red Army as guest.
But maybe knowing the history so well, it keeps me on the field when I visit.
