Re: Quite a few nice customs on GB

As far as prices skyrocketing, there are a ton of things on GB - particularly niche or higher end things - that aren’t really priced to sell. I almost never pay attention to the listed price. When I first joined I was all impressed with some of the asking prices. I remember thinking, “wow! My pre-64 .30-30 is nicer than that one which is listed at $2750!” Then I realized that no one was ever going to buy that overpriced thing. The only thing you can do is look at what has actually sold before and try to make comparisons.
Edit - I am very patient. I have watched some guns for months before the seller finally removes the reserve and prices it realistically. In many cases, it still goes for more than I want to pay, but less than the older price. In other cases, I have seen items go for more than the price at which they sat for months after the price is initially lowered.

Re: Well that's a first for me!

Up to last year, I used a Q-tip to apply Imperial wax to the inside of the case necks and that made the drag on the expander ball much less. Then, one way or another I had to remove the lube from inside of the necks.
Over the last year or so, I’ve been using Redding’s dry lube kit with graphite and tiny little balls that lubes the inside of the necks. Much easier to deal with….it doesn’t matter if there’s some graphite left in the neck either..

LeverGunner

I was wondering if anyone has experience with Hodgdon Perfect Pattern 12 ga powder? The data shows low charges.
Recoil, clean burning, metering etc. comparison to another power ?
Thanks!

Re: Redding dies question

I prefer the competition seater with the sliding sleeve alignment system. Forster, Redding, or RCBS? Within the context of my answer to the OP, it's Redding. I have equal success with the Forster. The RCBS competition seaters haven't been quite as good as the Redding and Forster for runout. I haven't tried an RCBS Matchmaster seater.

Re: Our politicians waving ukraine flags on floor

Guess who was on a national news network seen wearing a multinational flag pin on his suits lapel , near as I could tell it was the flags of Ukraine and Israel not including the USA. Individual was Mike McCaull(spelling) of Texas , I have no idea who else was doing the same, whoever I consider traitors , lobbying for foreign gov’t national independence but can not seal our own borders from foreign invaders.

NR is Not Rated. A buyer who is so new that he has no feedback. Some dealers allegedly won’t sell to NR bidders, but I haven’t encountered that personally. In the various gun forums, you will often find people bitching about how they were bidding on a great deal, but stopped because some NR bidder kept outbidding them. They assume that the NR bidder is an account belonging to the seller, but the odds that some new person can also recognize a good deal seems pretty reasonable to me.
