Re: Is faith without works dead…?

Salvation is by faith alone not by works is very clear from the Scriptures, but James goes a little deeper to identify true saving faith. In James 2 he enlarges on true faith which saves. True saving faith will produce evidence of salvation through changed life and good works. For example if a person says that he or she believes in Christ for forgiveness of sins yet their life has not changed since their profession and they still act/live in sin as they did prior to their professed faith in Christ than James says that kind of faith is useless and does not save. He gives examples of true faith which produced good works or changed life in Abraham and Rahab. Paris Reidhead an old time preacher said that many people will miss heaven by 18 inches, that is they believed in their mind but not by their heart so there was no change in their lives.
In the 1st epistle of John, John gives us very clear evidence of those who are truly saved in order that we may test ourselves, in 1 John 5: 13 he says that he wrote these things that we may know that we have eternal life. Paul also in 2 Cor 13:5 says for us to test ourselves to see if we are in the faith, if you are truly saved than Jesus Christ is in you and He will produce fruit of that salvation by holy life which is evidence of true saving faith. This does not mean that truly born again believer will not occasionally sin but he will not practice or continue to live in sin. Good works prior to salvation are considered by God as filthy rags, but good works after salvation are produced by the holy Spirit who indwells a believer and this is not only acceptable by God but desirable. In John 15 the Lord said that the Father seeks, fruit, more fruit and much fruit which amounts to life lived for him.

Re: Cop roughs up an 18 year old female

I cant watch these. I seriously want to see a concealed carrier pop out of the blue and loosen his brain matter. It would just make me feel better.
And the shìt thing is that not all bad cops are bad cops all of the time. I'm sure he's done plenty of good and has good intentions at times but so do pit bulls until they turn on their owner. This shìt is just becoming too common amd the worst part is that they aren't shunned from existence. Qualified immunity really should be ended. Or maybe make them bonded and insured. He hasn't been a cop long and has exhibited similar behavior with at least 1 other agency who sent him to more training. At least agency #1 wasn't amused by the shoddy behavior as the current agency seems to be. QI ending is one part that would be an improvement. Treating this kind of thing as racketeering would be useful.

It’s a tough one to sell for sure. And this one has been well cared for. In a neoprene cover at all times except to take a shot. Excellent set and forget scope that still gets you out there pretty far with the reticle and it also tracks well should you want to dial. All at only 15oz

Strosfann: I have owned all of the rimfire 22's you are considering - I still own the CZ 457 and a couple of Browning Belgian T-Bolts. I would rate them as follows:
#1 = Browning Belgian T-Bolt #2 = CZ 457 #3 = Sako 54
I traded the Sako 54 in on an amazingly accurate Sako P94S with heavy barrel and Leupold 12 power scope. Yo might need to up your "budget" just a tad to obtain a fine condition Browning Belgian T-Bolt or the Sako P94S but I am sure you would be happy with either. Best of luck with whichever you choose. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Congratulations. Consider yourself fortunate you have one to “give” and the blessings she gives are going to keep on coming.

Re: Rand Paul speaks, will Trump listen?

It appears he has NOT learned his lesson. Has it occurred to any of you in the chattering class, this is an orchestrated effort by MTG and Massie to toss the House to the Democrats? Not everyone is who they seem to be. Not everything is what it seems to be. The Republican Establishment has been planning this for months. Massie and MTG maybe the avenue used, but this is coming directly from the top. Been saying it for weeks. Jeffries will be Speaker before Nov and it is the Republican Establishment that is going to hand it to them.

Love hitting them 54 and 58 roundballs. Good luck to you. I expect a high country tag here. It'll be a roundball of some size here too.
