After reading all Buckstix's posts on the rifle, I didn't get the impression he was taking credit for doing all the research. I even went back and re-read it after your post. He even says that a lot of the research was already done in his OP. He may not have mentioned the person responsible for doing the research but I didn't read it as anything other than Buckstix relaying the story of a cool old rifle that he bought.
