I find it a bit odd that 5744 pistol powder supposedly gives him the pressures/velocities of early nitro powder.

Another gent from 'down under' uses 93 grains of Varget to light up his 20/577 and get 1650fps out of it with about 8 tons of pressure. 10T was the accepted pressure for DR's.

I'm personally using 64 grains of IMR4198 with a 650 Woodie
out of my 577 3" BPE and it likes 92 grains of Varget using the same bullet.
