I too miss Shrapnel and Dober, but understand why they choose to stay off this site. Been tempted to leave myself, but there are too many knowledgable and polite posters left so I stay
. What bothers me the most, is when someone posts with a problem with a rifle. Along with requests for more info and helpful advice, there are always those whose response is, basically, accusing the OP of not being able to shoot well. "Have you considered the nut behind the recoil pad?" and "if you're not paying attention to X and Y it's all your fault." are common, quick, posts to follow a question on the site. I thought I left behavior like that behind when I graduated high school in the seventies! I agree that the lack of a heavy-handed moderator is good....but it lets the rude folks have a field day at times.
