Gerry, Don't you know the NHL (Bettman especially) is all about parity.
They don't want a team to become the NY Yankees of hockey, or the big markets with deep pockets to get all the best players.
Still, the Oilers have been so bad over the last few years, maybe they deserve a break? They won't get a high draft pic this year I think, unless they've traded for one.
I too hope Nashville and Ottawa end up playing each other. But I think the Pens are going to the final AGAIN.
