Picked up a pretty nice 1899 in 38/55 with a really nice bore today for a nice price. I do have the serial number “1068xx” and it looks to be an “A” type barrel (round taper/no hex) Not a lot of time to look it over real good yet. I was on my way to visit my dad in the hospital and that damn gun shop jumped right out in front of me.....LOL! If someone could give me a build date, that would be great.
