Well, don't pay the bill? Power Co may cut juice - or maybe cannot.? Credit score takes a hit, and maybe a lien or lawsuit by the power company?
Sounds like they need to insure the place well & some time later hire an expert discrete professional, if somewhat incendiary, "attorney" .

The squatters are gonna trash the place anyway.
If a squatter gets hurt on the premises, can the legit owner be sued for unsafe conditions? Probably in some places.
