I used a 154 grain .284 SST out of my 7mag to take a doe at about 25 yds. My guess is it was running b/t 2800 and 2900 fps. I use 60 grains of RL-22. To slow it down more I'll probably have to swich powders. I know this: had I hit shoulder I'd of wasted both shoulders. I've Read about how destructive they can be and now I am a believer. The bullet did what it was designed to do; kill the deer, and with authority. Entry was a pencil hole, exit blew through 3 ribs. Soup on the inside. I like the bullet but don't expect great things if you hit bone.

I should add, "...at magnum velocities."

Proverbs
- A wise man feareth, and departs from evil: but the fool rages, in confidence.
- It is honor for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will meddle.
- Mischief is as sport to a fool: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
