Yep if I am hunting my barrel is taped. Just a simple thing like taping your barrel can save you a pile of trouble if you slip and fall or something and your barrel ends up in the mud. Its just a no brainer to tape your barrel and the reason isn't for rain and water. Its for grit and shi%
