The "Peanut" I pictured has the Chrome Vanadium blades the Micarta handled one is old carbon steel that I blued with Oxpho-Blue and keep oiled with G-96, no rust and stays wicked sharp with little effort.

I still have this Puma General I carried for a full 27 years as a Peace Officer and it is another that takes a wicked edge and holds it forever. I cut a plastic bumper off a car with it one night to get a guys arm out, it would still shave the hair on my arm when I got done. The Normark in the picture has dressed out literally TONS of game over the past 50 Years. Was still shaving sharp after my only Elk was ready to pack out.
