I prefer a good 3 blade stockman type, keep the clip blade for fine cutting, the sheepsfoot for rougher stuff like twine and cardboard while the 3rd blade gets the bubba stuff like battery terminals.
I carried a Case 3 blade stockman for close to 30 years. Great knife. I'll 2nd the new tru-sharp stainless being junk. The SS Case I have now gets dull just riding in my pocket.
Probably my favorite is 30 year old Buck 301 Stockman. I carried it for years on the farm, but it's a little big for my office job these days. Still goes in my pocket anytime we go hunting.
Just received a CRKT Lake 111 2 1/2" lockback. I'm really liking it so far, like Cheesy I'm not crazy about clipping it on my pocket, but I have no doubt it's a good knife.
